Made of linen which is a tone on tone black houndstooth check. It is lined with red china silk with black embroidered (by Cheryl) flowers throughout. Then the black linen is trimmed away so the red can show beneath. She used diagonal piecing from white and black cotton prints trimmed with red cotton damask.
