Started in a Ruth McDowell workshop which was wonderful -- she gave me permission to "color outside the lines" and guidance in doing it. She is a great teacher and gives you information at every opportunity. Her techniques are wonderful--she walks you through the whole process from inspiration to design to sewing to finishing! I chose the fuchsia because it is one of my favorite flowers.
