This is something I've been doing for years and it really pays off: When I
am finished piecing a quilt top, I invariably have extra blocks, fabric
scraps and yardage. I put it all into a box or zip top bag. Later, when
I'm looking for coordinating scraps to make a small project, boutique item,
trial quilt block, etc, I can grab one of these bags and know that all the
fabrics successfully go together. What a time saver!
Working with these fabrics again brings back fond memories of the original
project. And sometimes the "scrap" project turns out better than the
original project!
