44" x 44"

Over the past two years I have had the good fortune to be able to work with Bali Fabrics, Inc.  This quilt was designed to feature their batik fabrics and is/was in their booth at Quilt Market, 2004.  I wanted a quilt that reflected Bali's heritage and culture, so I chose the Garuda, a creature that is part eagle, part human, from Hinduism.  The design began with using 20 different fabrics for his feathers, and grew from there. Fused and machine appliquéd, machine quilted, painted.  44x44 inches (Available for purchase)
