Quick and Easy! It took me a couple of hours to get this cutie made up. This is a quick pattern that uses up scraps and is easy to fuse.

The pieces are big enough so that even a beginner or a child or granddaughter to make. My 8 and 10-year-old granddaughters have spent the summer with me, and have made their own Apples A Fallin’ for their mom after seeing mine.

I found a striped fabric with little apples in between the stripes, which was very cute, and also added to the apple theme. I also found a scrap of fabric that looked like basket weave, and used that for my basket. I used a clear monofilament thread to do a buttonhole stitch around the fused pieces, but I only stitched around it after I had my top, batting and backing layered. The polyester batting that I used gave it a little puffiness and it turned out really nice.

Julie Bohringer is the designer and has over 50 patterns that are available through her Website.
