Selvages from commercial and hand-dyed cottons; machine appliquéd and quilted in one step.

Fabric always speaks to me, but selvages have a lot more to say than most fabrics! My father is a typographer, so type and graphic arts have been an integral part of my personal life as well as my career in journalism and corporate communication. This is one of a series of alphabet quilts focusing on single letters, executed in different techniques, but always revealing their essential form and beauty.
