Quilting The Savory Garden
By Sandra Millet
Krause Publications

"How does your garden grow?" There are 10 garden-themed blocks in this wonderful and informative book by Sandra Millet. You can create a quilt or two or other designs such as pillows, wall hangings or tote bags "(for carrying your on-the-go sewing.)"

She has very clear and detail oriented step-by-step photos of the instructions for creating hand applique, fusing methods, binding, hand quilting and some other machine techniques. Each chapter builds on the skills from the previous chapter, so it is like a series of classes from this very well organized author. “When a new technique is introduced, detailed instructions with line art or photographs demonstrate the finer points.” There are great close-up photos, including some mistake photos and how to correct photos of the techniques. There is even instructions on how to construct a design board.

Under Sandra's tutelage, you can achieve the look you strive for while doing your best work. All the while, you are learning to refine your techniques, you are making a very fun and exciting quilt. Enjoy "Quilting The Savory Garden."
