Description:
Try making each flower a different color within the block or for each block in your quilt use a different color. This can be made very traditional, country style or very bright fabrics.

Finished Size: 12"


Fabric Reqs For Block: (Example fabrics in parentheses)
  • 12 ½" x 12 ½" Light For Background (It is wise to cut this slightly bigger and cut it to finished size after you have done the appliqué)
  • 10" x 10" For Flowers
  • 9" x 9" For Leaves
  • 2" x 6" For Stems

Cutting Instructions
Piece # Fabric Shape
A  4  Flowers
B  8 Leaves
C  2 Stems
D  1 Background



Refer to Placement Of Appliqué Pieces for position of each piece.

Assembly Order (Using your favorite method of applique: Hand, Fusing, Machine):
Instruction
Step 1: D (Background) Press and lay flat
Step 2: C (Stems) Do one and then the other
Step 3: A ( Flowers) Sew each one
Step 4: B (Leaves) Do one on a flower, and then the second. Repeat for all flowers.
