Hand-marbled cotton fabrics created by artist; machine embroidered, and quilted

The process of creating the fabric is pure childlike joy. I have only partial control on the outcome of the design when I work with this variation on marbling. I must work very quickly and be ready for the exact moment when I let the fabric make contact with paint that is floating on a thickened liquid support. I try not to think too much, but, rather, to just keep moving in a very spontaneous way.
