An exploration with texture made from silk denim and lined with velour. It also has an inner layer of flannel to make it a warm coat. The texture is made with rows of pleating using Clotilde's Perfect Pleater. The six inch wide rows are bound with self bias. In between the meandering rows there is channel quilting. A loop and knot form an asymmetrical closure, all of self fabric. The coat ended up being too short so an extra section was made, bound in bias and attached to the original coat.
