  1. Remember that the printed pattern is a mirror image of the design. You will be placing your fabric on the unprinted side and sewing on the printed side of the letter pattern.


  2. "B" means background fabric and "M" means main fabric that you pick for the letter.


  3. Cut a strip of the main fabric 2 " x 17". From this strip cut:
    • two pieces for the legs of the "A" about 6 " long
    • use the remaining 4" strip for the cross piece of the "A"

  4. Cut a strip of the background fabric 4 " x 20" From this strip cut:
    • two 6 " pieces for sides
    • two 2 " pieces for bottom center and middle section
    • two 2 " pieces for bottom corners
