Description:
This block would look good on it's own with a focus fabric in the center square or combine the block with the Snowball No. 1 block for a great combination.

Fabric Reqs For Block: (Example fabrics in parentheses)
  • 12" x 12" Dark
  • 6" x 12" Light
Cutting Instructions
Piece Shape # Fabric Instructions  
A  4  Dark Cut four 2 ¾" x 2 ¾" squares
B  4 Light Cut four 2 ¾" x 5" rectangles
C  1 Dark Cut one 5" x5" square

Assembly (1/4" seam allowance throughout):
Instruction Diagram
Step 1: Sew one A square to either end two B rectangles. Press seam allowance open or toward the dark. Rows 1 and 3.
Step 2: Sew two B rectangles to opposite sides of the C square. Press seam allowances open or toward the dark. Row 2.
Step 3: Sew Row 1 and 3 to opposite sides of Row 2. Press seam allowances open or toward one side.
