For years my mother tried to entice me into trying my hand at quilting. I was reluctant, thinking I would not have the time to finish a project. I found myself in Nova Scotia for three years--during the first winter I joined the local quilting guild knowing I needed an in-house activity because it was clear to me I would easily become stir crazy.
I fell in love. Quilting satisfies my creative nature more than any other needlework. I get a request for a quilt from at least two family members a year.
